Cinematography and Film-making
Since I got my first camera phone I can remember wanting to film everything. As time has gone on I realised that it was something that I found a talent for and wanted to progress. I pride myself on not having any education in film or photography and I like the rough film-making style that I discovered when travelling. This will be an aspect I always want to keep in my films some way or another as I feel the rugged nature of a film using a point and shoot or even a phone can sometimes tell a story better than any cinema camera ever could.

Introducing Belfast fashion, With Thomas Dickerson | May, 2016
Thomas Dickerson is a new fashion designer from Belfast and he asked me to begin an ad campaign for him, focusing on what his label means to him on an emotional level. I tried to take a realistic and happy approach to this project by not framing too many shots and just letting the events of the day unfold as I attempted to capture them. which. We see Thom measuring two Olympic Sailors for the Belfast suit.
Education
Expectation vs Reality. A look into the life of a first year medicine student | May, 2016
This is a film I made about 1st-year medical students. I know a lot of medics and they are often under a large amount of pressure whilst working with slim amounts of time. I really wanted this film to be something they could look back on to remember optimistic times looking ahead. The dean of the medical school thoroughly enjoyed this film and want to use it for future generations.
Sport
Fighting Spirit | September, 2015
Conor Bannister is the two-time World Kick boxing champion at Under 20 level. I went out to film with Conor as I knew he was such an amazing human. I wanted his dedication to training to come through in the film and gave it a very dull tone as this is meant to demonstrate the challenging life of an up and coming world athlete.
Travel
Venice | July, 2016
I have always been proud of my film making roots. I have no official training or education but have always been good at making and editing films. I loved travelling and making a film for every place I visited and I will always favour run and gun film making that tells a story rather than a high quality film without a story. Venice is such a beautiful city and I didn't have to try hard to find interesting shots.
MUSIC
Joe Merri, Bath | June, 2016
Singer songwriter Joe Merri form Bath was such a pleasure to work with. I like the raw power of music and hence why I decided to take Joe out on his native streets of Bath and record a street session. We found this amazing location after a bit of a walk around town and the result was very pleasing. I'm looking forward to working with Joe again soon.
